This realistic series of vivid painting blobs was in fact created using only colored pencils. It only shows what great talent can achieve even when using basic drawing equipment. Artist Cj Hendry created her hyper realistic painting blobs by mixing dry pigment and expertise and named her series Complimentary Colors.

Felideus Bubastis, now that's a name that announces this isn't your usual illustrator, but then again each artist has a different vision. Felideus Bubastis is a Madrid-based art director, graphic designer, animator and audiovisual screenwriter. He's been working lately as a freelance illustrator, label designer and writer. He won a bunch of awards, Ignotus award for best illustrator in 2011 and 2008, and best comic book in 2008.

We found Romanian sci-fi and fantasy artist Daniel Donciu just recently and we were so baffled by the detail in his works that we just couldn't have enough with just a couple of illustrations. We're not the only ones so mesmerized by Daniel Donciu since the man has been awarded dozens of times. He is currently working for NCsoft overseeing the Guild Wars franchise.
